King Charles becomes the seventh successive Monarch to be Patron of the Charity.

His Majesty King Charles has graciously agreed to become Patron of The Civil Service Benevolent Fund (known as Charity for Civil Servants), succeeding his mother, Queen Elizabeth II who served as Patron for more than seventy years.

Charity for Civil Servants Chief Executive Graham Hooper said:

We are extremely proud and honoured that His Majesty has chosen to continue the tradition started by Queen Victoria when she became our inaugural Patron in 1886. His Patronage of the charity recognises the vital work civil servants do day in day out in service of the country.
