Staying safe and well in hot weather

Summer is finally here, but while the sunny weather may lift our spirits, it’s important to remember to look after ourselves. Temperatures can sometimes become uncomfortable and even dangerously hot.

Anyone can be affected by the heat, but older people may be more vulnerable in the hot weather. Staying informed and being prepared can help keep you safe while enjoying the summer sun.

For tips on protecting yourself and staying well this summer, take a look at the information and advice on the Staying well in summer website or in the Summer wise guide provided by Independent Age.

Some of the tips may seem like common sense, but they can make a big difference to your wellbeing.
