A year of news, and a winning newsletter

There’s been no shortage of news to share across CSPA’s groups this year.

During 2026, 52 newsletters were produced for 27 groups across the country, bringing local news, events, activities and updates to members wherever they live.

More than 8,000 newsletters were sent by post, with a further 14,000 sent by email. That’s more than 21,000 newsletters making their way to members over the course of the year.

With so much work going into keeping members informed and connected, we thought it was time to celebrate the newsletters themselves.

Every group was automatically entered into our newsletter competition, with entries judged by a group of CSPA members, assisted by Deputy General Secretary. Newsletters were judged on their content, how interesting and relevant they were to members, and their overall look and presentation.

And after reading their way through all those newsletters, our judges chose Bournemouth group as the winner.

Congratulations to Bournemouth, and a big thank you to everyone who produces a newsletter for their group. Whether it arrives through the letterbox or lands in an inbox, every newsletter is another way of keeping members connected to what’s happening in their local CSPA community.

With more than 21,000 newsletters sent this year, that’s quite a lot of news to share!
