ACCESSIBILITY CONVENTIONS USED ON THIS SITE
The CSPA website has been designed according to the standards laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in their Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
The accessibility features that have been adopted on this site are as follows:-
- On all pages TAB KEY 1 takes visitors to a link that will enable them to skip the navigation and contact details and jump straight to the main content of the page.
- TAB KEY 2 brings focus to the first item on the main menu - The Home Page
- TAB KEYS 3 to 15 focus on each link in the navigation system in turn
- TAB KEY 16 brings focus to our e-mail link.
- TAB KEYS 17 to 24 brings focus to our Accessibility Box options. Further TABS follow a logical order through the document.
- No ACCESS KEYS have been employed on this site as the risk of conflict with visitors existing systems is considered too great.
- An Accessibility Box has been set up directly above the main menu on each page. This allows visitors to increase the size of the text on each page. The size is initially set at Medium (M) and may be increased to Large (L), Very Large (XL) or Larger Still (XXL). Further increases in size are available using the View/Text Size option in the browser menu.
- The Box also has the means to change the style of the page such that the contrast between the text and the background is maximised. A further option allows the visitor to return to the normal mode.
- The Accessibility Box may be hidden/revealed by clicking on the heading.
- No site map is offered as all pages may be accessed via the main menu.
